The wolferine is a touring/sea kayaking paddle. It has a spike on the blade, which causes water to drip off the blade, preventing it from flowing down the paddle onto you. The YPX ferrule provides continuous adjustment of the blade offset angle, while also allowing the length be changed by up to 10cm.
